OBORO publishes books that are in keeping with its mandate, values and the artistic objectives of its programme. We publish three types of book: artists’ books, booklets and web-based projects. Artists’ books are major publications where the artist is involved in the production process. Booklets accompany exhibitions or other activities; they can be testing grounds for art editing and writing. Finally, web-based projects use the web’s resources and distribution platform to create composite pieces that are both net art and web literature, among other combinations. OBORO’s editorial focus for the coming years will be audio art and sound creation, the relationships between literature and new media, and new forms of art publishing and writing.
