Ariane Plante

After studying anthropology, Ariane Plante became involved in the cultural and artistic community as a freelancer. Since 2006, she has worked with organizations and artists, either as curator, programme planner, writer, producer, consultant, artistic director and advisor or as project manager. Self-taught artist, she develops a professional practice in media and visual arts. She is a fellow of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec as an individual artist, and of Première Ovation, as an artist, author (scriptwriter) and independent curator. Her work has been promoted in Quebec and France. In 2015, she was appointed curator of the 2016, 2017 and 2018 editions of Mois Multi, an international festival of multidisciplinary and electronic arts in Quebec City. She has also programmed an Art and Exploration component at the City of Québec Film Festival in 2017. Having written about the work of several artists, her works have been published in exhibitions, notably at Oboro, and in the magazine ETC media. She lives in Montreal and works in Quebec City and Montreal.
