In this world of instant communication, our first contact with people is more often virtual through the Internet, telephone, texts or e-mails. All day we touch screens and punch plastic and metal buttons. Our over-usage of electronics minimizes human contact in our day-to-day lives.
Handshack is an interactive installation that invites human connection. This intimate piece captures candid, real-time encounters between two strangers who get to know each other solely through touch. Using the handshake as a starting point, blind tactile conversations are twisted into unexpected choreographies.
