Steve Heimbecker

Born in Saskatchewan, educated at the Alberta College of Art and Design, Steve Heimbecker is recognised for his leading role in the development of audio art, installation, and multi channel sound composition and performance in Canada. Since the mid 1980s he has exhibited and performed across Canada and Europe. Since moving to Montréal in 2001 he has produced a series of DVD Dolby 5.1 productions, has created the 64-channel network wind diffusion system, “Wind Array Cascade Machine,” and its installation manifestations, and continues to produce and exhibit nationally and internationally.
