As an artist, Monique Régimbald-Zeiber has long been interested in the politics of art. She developed a transdisciplinary practice in painting and writing that questions the construction of History, particularly Women’s History. As a professor and researcher (UQAM), she contributed to the development of programs supporting research-creation in Québec (FRQSC). In this context, she became interested in the conception of a space dedicated to the sharing of agricultural knowledge and experiences, suggesting that art and agriculture are confronted to the same questions : food, ecology, the management of space, water and waste, the cohabitation of humans with animals and plants. She has co-organized consultations, colloquia, and events to have diverse sectors find ways to face things together.
