Thanks to MOOG AUDIO for the equipment loan and their continuous support.

Following from Synthesis and Small Processors (offered in September 2014), Modular Synthesis is an advanced workshop that will cover the different steps involved in using a modular synthesiser as the main sound source for creating work.

The creative feedback produced by inventive connections between modules and mobile effects processors will be looped into the processing of audio signals. The workshop will focus on creating an environment conducive to deep and meditative states of listening, which can lead to new compositional and spatial possibilities based on improvisation and intuition.

The workshop will be both educational and exploratory. The instructors and guests will share their approaches to modular synthesis with the participants, who will also benefit from periods of individual creative exploration. Each participant will have the further opportunity to work with the equipment outside of the free exploration sessions.

> The workshop will be offered in French, both instructors are bilingual and will answer questions in English.
> Please bring your modular systems and tell us if the other participants can work on those equipment under the supervision of the instructors.
